Prawns are back on the menu!

This week and next you can choose to enjoy juicy sustainably sourced prawns in our festive Pasanda tiger prawn curry, festive rice & pomegranate.

Our Indonesian tiger prawns come from a brand new supplier The Big Prawn Company. They’re sourced in Kalimantan, Borneo by traditional methods. Grown in natural mangrove ponds, feeding on plankton, the stocking density is 0.5 prawns per cubic metre of water, compared with 120 prawns per cubic metre of water in farmed prawns! The delicate texture and flavoursome prawns have been ethically sourced with care, not only for the prawns but for the wildlife, environment and community in Kalimantan.

5 FAVOURITE FISH CURRIES

To celebrate welcoming The Big Prawn Company as a supplier, we couldn’t resist putting together a round-up of our five favourite fish curries – all with a healthy spin.

Pasanda prawn curry, festive rice & pomegranate

Need a break from the usual seasonal eats? Try this warming curry – sustainably sourced tiger prawns stewed with coconut, pasanda spice and tamarind. We spoon it over rice stuffed with sprouts and sprinkle with pomegranate seeds. Order this recipe now, available on our menu from December 13th-23rd.

Yellow Thai cod curry with brown rice

All the zingy flavours of a classic Thai yellow curry are here – fresh lemongrass, earthy turmeric, spicy ginger – and they pair brilliantly with our sustainably sourced cod. Brown rice mops up the creamy, coconutty sauce.

Keralan coconut monkfish curry & black rice

Inspired by the palm-lined Malabar Coast, this fragrant curry uses sustainably caught monkfish with Asian spices and aromatics: fresh garlic, ginger, turmeric, cardamom and green chilli.

Spicy Madras fish curry & brown rice

Underrated coley, a sustainably sourced fish with abundant meaty flakes, is the highlight of our fiery Indian-style curry. We pack in veg with spinach and aubergine, and add cooling coconut to temper the heat.

Green Thai cod curry with sugar snaps & quinoa

Silky coconut milk, warm ginger, fresh coriander – our tastier-than-takeaway green curry packs all those tropical Thai flavours but features British sustainably sourced cod.
