Jack Nowell - England rugby player
What's your Mindful motto or words to live by?
There's a couple of things I live by; first one would be ‘if you ain’t having fun doing it, don’t do it’. Second one would be ‘you can always find the positive in every negative’ that you stumble upon.
Proudest achievement?
Proudest achievement on the rugby field would have to be last year winning the Premiership and Heineken cup, but to beat that would be my two little boss ladies being born and becoming part of my life.
Favourite Mindful Chef meal?
I couldn’t pick one so I’m going to say two - Beef meatball bake with roasted fennel and the monkfish curry. I've had a lot of fish curries in my time but I think this one is up there.
How does Mindful Chef make healthy eating easy for you?
I find it makes healthy eating a lot easier for me because it massively helps with my and my family's meal sizes. I’m lucky because I can burn a lot of calories training but I've definitely learnt that I was over making food and overeating before and our portion sizes were far too big. It’s now the perfect amount. It’s got me making and trying new foods that I would never have thought about making before.
Elinor Barker - Team GB Cyclist
What's your Mindful motto or words to live by?
My sports psychologist has a saying; “it’s not about the bins,” that I find myself thinking about often. He uses it to explain that when his wife seemingly overreacts about something minor, like him not taking the bins out, it’s almost always about something bigger. It’s a reminder to be compassionate even if somebody doesn’t act how you’d expect, as you never really know what’s going on in their head.
Proudest achievement?
Winning Olympic gold in 2016!
Favourite Mindful Chef meal?
I recently had the Mexican rubbed salmon, coconut and lime rice and loved it - especially because it only took 15 minutes!
How does Mindful Chef make healthy eating easy for you?
I used to think I didn’t like cooking much. This year I’ve realised that I love cooking, but I hate planning. So Mindful Chef really takes the legwork out of it. Previously, if I wanted to try a new recipe I might be put off by an obscure ingredient that I didn’t know where to find, or thought I wouldn’t be likely to use again. Being sent exactly the right amount is so easy and means I don’t waste anything either.

What's your Mindful motto or words to live by?
You don't have to be great to start but you have to start to be great
Proudest achievement?
Commonwealth Games champion in 2018 and making history being the first England netball team to do so.
Favourite Mindful Chef meal?
My favourite Mindful Chef meal is Sirloin steak with dauphinoise and roasted tomatoes.
How does Mindful Chef make healthy eating easy for you?
Mindful chef has changed the way I cook, the process is easy to follow. With a great selection of recipes to choose from each week, I never get bored, I have fun making new meals each week and as an athlete you don't have to think if you have the ingredients, everything is there for you in one bag and its great as it tells you how long it will take.

What's your Mindful motto or words to live by?
Our actions define our character - it's a reminder that talk is cheap, it's all too easy to speculate or gossip, the action you take is what will ultimately impact the world around you and define you.
Proudest achievement?
Creating 2 humans of course... although my bit was the easy part. Lol! Raising children is a game of endurance but deeply fulfilling with moments that sparkle bright in the memory, being fully present with them as they express themselves as individual humans and explore the world around with great curiosity shows me the beautiful responsibility of parenthood and how special it is to share this journey with them.
Favourite Mindful Chef meal?
I've been moving towards a mostly plant based diet (with some high welfare meat) and the vegan meals have opened up a whole new way of delicious and nutritious cooking. I've learnt methods and combinations that I didn't know of before. I feel like I learn a lot whenever I cook a new Mindful Chef recipe and being shown the way with many plant-based meals has been liberating - we recently had the cashew 'carbonara', smoked tofu and pesto broccoli which I particularly loved as I'd never cooked with tofu before.
How does Mindful Chef make healthy eating easy for you?
I've always seen cooking as a therapeutic transition away from the hectic nature of the day into the calming energy of the evening. But planning these meals can be time consuming - Mindful Chef boxes make it easy to enjoy the whole experience as all the prep is done. Opening my Mindful Chef box and exploring the recipe, with some chilled music playing in the background (without having to plan anything) is one of the highlights of my day. It represents, rest, nourishment and is stress-free because all the hard work has already been done by the legends at Mindful Chef HQ!
Jodie Burrage - British tennis player
What's your Mindful motto or words to live by?
Today’s achievement is tomorrow’s benchmark.
Proudest achievement?
Playing 3 out of 4 grand slams - especially Wimbledon. Also playing with Andy Murray in mixed doubles last summer as part of the Battle of the Brits event, that was a brilliant experience.
Favourite Mindful Chef meal?
Sticky Chinese chicken, red cabbage slaw and rice - yum!
How does Mindful Chef make healthy eating easy for you?
It makes it easy as with my sport I need to continue to have high levels or protein, moderate carbs and lots of veggies. Mindful Chef always provides this with each meal. It also takes away bad temptation at supermarkets!
