Winning gold at the Commonwealth Games didn't change my mentality; it confirmed my belief in myself - that I can reach the highest heights in sport.

Reuben Arthur

Track and Field Sprinter and Pro-Athlete

A rising star in track and field, Reuben discovered his lightning speed at an early age. He had a meteoric rise when at just 22, he returned home from the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games with a gold medal in the Men’s 4 x 100m relay.

Together with his baton buddies Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Richard Kilty and Zharnel Hughes, Reuben and the team sped away from the competition with a storming speed of just 38.13 seconds. He’s SportsAid supported and is currently in serious training for Tokyo 2020.

Reuben’s an advocate of championing diversity and inclusivity in sport, something that’s close to our heart. His heroes in pro-competitive sports are Colin Kaepernick, Danny Rose and Raheem Sterling who've used their elevated platforms to shed light on issues that affect many people whose voices might not usually be heard.
