One-pot Chicken Biryani with Brown Basmati & Green Beans

Our brilliant biryani, starring juicy free-range chicken and colourful veggies. It couldn’t be easier - it comes together in one pot! Just sizzle your chicken alongside juicy peppers, sweet onion and crunchy green beans. Infuse with fragrant spices, then toss in steamed whole basmati, to bring it all together.

Before you start

  • Pull out a large frying pan & a measuring jug

Get started

  • Thinly slice the onion. Dice the pepper into 2cm chunks. Trim and chop the green beans and cut into thirds
  • Heat the large frying pan with 1 tbsp oil on medium-high heat. Once hot, add the onion, pepper, green beans and chicken. Season with salt and pepper
  • Cook for 12 mins, stirring occasionally, until golden

Build the dish

  • Meanwhile, finely chop or crush the garlic. Roughly chop the coriander
  • Add the garlic and tikka paste to the pan. Stir to combine and cook for 2 mins, then add the rice, stock powder and 75ml water (40ml for 1 person)
  • Cook for 2-3 mins, until the chicken is cooked through and the rice is piping hot

Plate up

  • Check your chicken is cooked through by cutting a large piece in half; the flesh should be white and the juices running clear
  • Share the chicken biryani between bowls. Garnish with the coriander
