Before you start

  • Pull out a large frying pan & a measuring jug

Combine the flavours

  • Roughly dice the shallot
  • Heat the large frying pan with 1 tsp oil on medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shallot, and cook for 2-3 mins, until softened
  • Add the tikka paste, ginger & garlic paste, tomato puree and curry powder, then cook for 1 minute

Build the dish

  • Halve the sugar snaps and add them to the pan along with the beef (and its juices), pilau rice and 50ml water (25ml for 1 person)
  • Cook for 3-4 mins, until piping hot

Last bits & plate up

  • Meanwhile, rinse the spinach. Roughly chop the coriander
  • Add the peas, coriander and spinach to the pan. Cook for a final 1-2 mins, until wilted
  • Add a splash of water if necessary. Season with salt
  • Serve the beef keema into bowls
