Sticky Beef Sesame Stir-fry with Brown Rice & Green Beans

Before you start

  • Pull out 2 large frying pans & a measuring jug

Get started

  • Trim the green beans and cut into thirds. Thinly slice the pepper
  • Heat a large frying pan with half the sesame oil on high heat. Once hot, add the beef, green beans and pepper. Season with salt and pepper
  • Cook for 5 mins, breaking the beef up with a wooden spoon, until golden brown and tender

Combine the flavours

  • Meanwhile, thinly slice the spring onions, keeping the green and white parts separate
  • Add the Asian paste, honey, the spring onion whites and 50ml water (25ml for 1 person) to the pan. Cook for 3-4 mins, until the veg and beef are cooked

Heat up the rice

  • Heat the other large frying pan on medium-high heat. Once hot, add the rice and break it up with a wooden spoon. Add a splash of water and cook for 2-3 mins, until piping hot
  • Stir the remaining sesame oil through the rice and season with a pinch of salt

Plate up

  • Share the beef stir-fry between bowls, with the rice alongside. Garnish with the remaining spring onion greens and the sesame seeds
