  1. Bring a large saucepan filled with salted hot water to a boil. Add the rice and boil for 25-30 mins, until cooked, then drain.
  2. To a large bowl, add the cornflour and game strips. Season with sea salt, and mix well to combine. Heat a large frying pan on high heat with 1 tbsp oil. Add the game strips and cook for 3 mins, tossing occasionally, until golden and crispy. Remove from the pan and leave to one side.
  3. Meanwhile, dice the pepper into 2cm squares. Trim and cut the green beans into thirds. Return the frying pan to medium-high heat with 1 tsp oil. Add the prepped vegetables and mange tout and cook for 5-7 mins, until softened.
  4. Return the game strips to the vegetable pan, along with the five spice (to taste), black bean paste, sesame oil, ginger and garlic paste, half the honey and 100ml water. Crumble in half the stock cube and stir well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 3-4 mins, until the sauce has thickened.
  5. Finely slice the spring onions and stir half through the rice. Serve the black bean game alongside the rice, and sprinkle over the remaining spring onions.
