Cooking Instructions

The protein cooking time listed in this recipe has been updated.

As of December 2025, we’ve revised cooking times for all our proteins to reflect improved food safety guidance.

Check out the latest recommended times in our Cooking Guidelines.

  1. Bring a large saucepan filled with salted hot water to a boil. Add the rice and boil for 25-30 mins, until cooked, then drain.
  2. Finely chop or crush the garlic. Thinly slice the onion and pepper. Roughly chop the coriander. Roughly chop the green beans. Trim and roughly chop the pak choi.
  3. Heat a medium frying pan with 2 tbsp oil on medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook for 5 mins, until golden. Add the garlic, a pinch of five-spice (to taste), onion, pepper and green beans. Cook for 5 mins, until softening.
  4. Add the pak choi and half the coriander to the pan. Cook for 3 mins, then add the tamari, honey and vinegar. Cook for 5 mins, then season with sea salt and black pepper.
  5. Serve the rice topped with the pork. Sprinkle over the remaining coriander.
