The results are in! A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our second annual Mindful Chef Coast Clean on the 19th September – our biggest community event yet!
HERE’S THE WEEKEND IN NUMBERS
🏖️ 347 beaches, parks, woodlands and rivers cleaned
👫🏿 1796 people took part across the UK
♻️ Over 34,000L of rubbish collected
(that’s equal to 68,000 plastic bottles!)
OUR INCREDIBLE COMMUNITY
On Saturday 19th September over 430 local heroes signed up to join the #MCCoastClean, cleaning more than 300 locations across the UK! This year we extended the clean to include beaches, parks, rivers and woodlands to make it even easier for people to get involved and help clear the UK from unwanted rubbish.
We also partnered with the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) who provided litter surveys that were filled out by every location involved. The data from these surveys has, in the past, positively shaped business and government policy, directly supporting the future of marine life, so don’t forget to submit your survey to the MCS!

WHAT’S NEXT…
Don’t worry if you weren’t able to join us for the #MCCoastClean as our next community event – our annual Reverse Advent Calendar – is kicking off soon! The idea’s simple – every day throughout December you place one food item into an empty recipe box, then just before Christmas you send it back to us for free. We work with local charities to distribute the food to those in need. Keep your eyes peeled for more information coming soon.
