Firstly, did you know?

We are funded by a host of sports stars including Andy Murray, Victoria Pendleton and Will Greenwood. The Beckhams even tried our box and asked us to create them a family option, which we duly did! Many of the England Rugby team use our service, along with members of the England Hockey team and several of the female Olympic sailors and rowers who represented us in Rio 2016. They like the delicious healthy meals as much as our less athletic customers!

How do I close my account?

Easy. You can close or skip deliveries at any time. No catches, no minimum contract, no hidden tie-ins. You must pause your account before midnight on Thursday evening if you do not wish to receive a delivery the following week. This is easily done in 'My Account'.

Do I need to be in to receive my delivery?

No. Most of our customers are never in to receive their box. Our drivers will leave the box wherever you request; behind the wall / behind the recycling box / on the doorstep etc. If they can’t leave it safely, we will attempt a redelivery later that day, or the next day. Until it is in your kitchen, it is our responsibility.

We use state of the art & environmentally friendly sheep wool packaging to ensure perishables are kept at fridge temperature for up to 36 hours. No need to rush home. (Please be assured that vegan boxes do not contain wool insulation!)

Is delivery free?

Yes, our nationwide delivery is free.

What days do you deliver?

London (within M25): Sundays between 10am-8pm. Rest of the country (outside the M25): Mondays between 9am - 6pm.

Do you deliver nationwide (including Scotland & Wales)?

We do indeed. Our nationwide delivery day is Monday (9am-6pm). Certain parts of the Scottish highlands are outside the 24 hour courier network and unfortunately we are unable to deliver there.

What about bank holidays?

On bank holidays we push everything back a day. Sunday 10am - 8pm deliveries get pushed back to bank holiday Monday 10am - 8pm. If you normally have a box delivered on Monday between 9am - 6pm, it will arrive on Tuesday between 9am - 6pm.

Is your produce organic?

We deliberately source from small local British farms who meet our high ethical & quality standards, and we know exactly where the food comes from. Whilst some of these producers are accredited organic by the Soil Association, not all are. We love talking about the provenance of our ingredients so if you have any questions, please email robert@mindfulchef.com

How long does your produce last?

Our plough-to-plate time is far shorter than the supermarket, as we buy directly from West Country suppliers after our orders close on Thursday. Produce arrives with us over the weekend. We deliver at the start of the week and the produce will last until the end of that week.

What is your return policy?

If you're not happy with Mindful Chef for any reason, let us know and we'll either deliver you another box or refund your money. Life is too short to not be 100% happy.

What should I do when the box arrives?

Remove everything from the Wool Cool bag (if your box contains meat/fish) and place in the fridge. Place the brown bags containing each meal in your fridge also. (Vegan boxes never contain a wool cool.)

Do your meals contain gluten or dairy?

No, all our recipes are 100% gluten and dairy free. But still absolutely delicious! Please consult the recipe cards and On The Menu for other allergens.

Do you offer Vegan meals?

Yes. We are proud to be the UK’s only recipe box to do so. Every week we have 4 vegan meals on the menu.

Do you offer a family box?

Yes. Our 4 person box is ideal for a family wanting to eat a balanced nutritious diet regularly. We are proud to be the UK’s only recipe box to offer gluten free options for the family to enjoy. This is also our best value for money box.

Do you cater for 1 person meals?

Yes. We are proud to be the UK’s only recipe box to do so. We also provide options for 2 or 4 people.

How many meals are there to choose from each week?

8 balanced, nutritious and most importantly delicious meals. Recipes never repeat within a 12 week cycle, leaving you enjoying new inspiring dinners every week.

What are your portion sizes like?

Our three founders are rugby players so portions are important to us! We will always ensure you are full, but with the right produce that keeps you healthy. Recipes average around 650 calories, although there are always lighter options available. All meals are approved by our nutritionist.

Why are you the UK’s healthiest recipe box?

Unlike others, we do not load our boxes with cheap processed fillers like pasta, bread or white rice. Instead we focus on using high quality nutritious vegetables and complex carbohydrates (e.g. sweet potato, quinoa etc) . This means we are gluten and dairy free and this helps a lot of people enjoy a more balanced nutritious diet. All meals are approved by our nutritionist.

How much are the meals?

1 person meals - £9 per portion

2 person meals - £7 per portion

4 person meals - £6 per portion

Is your service good value for money?

A lot of our customers tell us that by using our service they actually reduce their weekly grocery bill. They say that by not going to the supermarket a few times a week, they end up no longer being tempted by those ‘naughty extras’. This saves both pounds in the pocket and on the waistline.

How do I recycle the WoolCool?

Please keep the Wool and we will pick it up with your next delivery (for those within London where we use our own drivers). Where this option is not possible with the professional couriers that we use, please try to find innovative uses for it! The wool is 100% compostable and biodegradable.
