Use a spoon to scrape out the core.<\/li><li>Pop in a pan with 100ml water and the <strong>juice from the orange<\/strong>, then add in the <strong>cinnamon<\/strong>, <strong>star anise<\/strong> and <strong>seeds from the vanilla pod<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Bring to the boil for 5 mins, then gently simmer for 15 mins until softened.<\/li><li>Remove your <strong>pear <\/strong>and set aside in a bowl to cool. Return your pan to the heat and boil until your<strong> sauce<\/strong> starts to reduce (but is still runny).<\/li><li>Pour the sauce onto the <strong>pear<\/strong>.
