The results are in! A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our second annual Mindful Chef Coast Clean<\/a> on the 19th September – our biggest community event yet! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year the MC team went along to River Brent – a tributary of the Thames – to help clean in association with Thames 21<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

HERE\u2019S THE WEEKEND IN NUMBERS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfd6\ufe0f 347 beaches, parks, woodlands and rivers cleaned<\/strong>\u00a0
\ud83d\udc6b\ud83c\udfff 1796 people took part across the UK<\/strong>
\u267b\ufe0f Over 34,000L of rubbish collected <\/strong>
(that\u2019s equal to 68,000 plastic bottles!)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

OUR INCREDIBLE COMMUNITY<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday 19th September over 430 local heroes signed up to join the #MCCoastClean, cleaning more than 300 locations across the UK! This year we extended the clean to include beaches, parks, rivers and woodlands to make it even easier for people to get involved and help clear the UK from unwanted rubbish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also partnered with the Marine Conservation Society<\/a> (MCS) who provided litter surveys that were filled out by every location involved. The data from these surveys has, in the past, positively shaped business and government policy, directly supporting the future of marine life, so don\u2019t forget to submit your survey to the MCS! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
