Food wastage is responsible for over 7% of greenhouse gas emissions and 20% of landfill. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wrap.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"false noopener\">WRAP<\/a>, in 2015 we wasted over 7.3 million tonnes of food in the UK. That works out at about 112 kg of food wasted by every single one of us. That\u2019s an awful lot of food to be wasting each year, made worse by the fact that there are so many people not fortunate enough to have access to food every day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recipe boxes are great because:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They eliminate food waste completely<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re sent all of the ingredients pre-portioned &#8211; no leftovers you forget to eat and end up throwing out<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They can help save you money &#8211; you won\u2019t buy unnecessary extra ingredients<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1331\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.mindfulchef.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Lambs-Lettuce-resized.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mindfulchef.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Lambs-Lettuce-resized.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.mindfulchef.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Lambs-Lettuce-resized-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are extremely proud of the work we do to reduce food waste and have heard first hand the positive experiences our customers have had reducing their own food waste.
