We started Mindful Chef with one mission – to make healthy eating easy. We also wanted to build a sustainable brand that we could be proud to run.<\/p>\n

We are mindful that fresh food delivery naturally creates waste as a by-product, so we\u00a0are always working hard to improve our packaging and make it more environmentally friendly.<\/p>\n

What is the packaging made of?<\/h3>\n

Our new cool box is made completely out of cardboard with additional layers to provide insulation. It contains 60% recycled materials<\/strong>, will divert approximately 630g of non-recyclable material from landfill per box and has a\u00a058% lower carbon footprint<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Within this, you will find our eco-friendly ice packs, made from a non-toxic polymer gel. Together they keep the contents chilled, meaning you do not need to be in for delivery – and our drivers will leave your box in a safe place!<\/p>\n

Old insulated cool bags:<\/strong> We\u2019re no longer taking these back but why not upcycle them?\u00a0We’ve seen customers re-use our packaging in many wonderful ways, from frost protection for plants in winter, to cushion stuffing, cat bedding and one customer who’s turned her insulation into wall art.
